9 Months!

My biggest milestone this month is that I'm almost walking...look out!

This month I have started...

-Having conversations with you in "baby talk."  It's how mom keeps track of me while she is making dinner and I'm wandering around.  It's like marco polo.  She says "ah" and I respond "ah!" I'm really loud.  

-Playing copy cat.  If mom and dad make noises with their tongue, so do I. 

-Feeding myself!  It's quite funny though because I like food so much, mom and dad can't leave me unsupervised with food because I try and eat it all at the same time.

-Loving my favorite new snack, banana puffs.

-Only playing with the toys mom puts away.

-Becoming sensitive to things that never used to scare me.  The vacuum used to be my friend.

-Becoming obsessed with doors.  I love to close them on people and if I see an open door...game over!

-Teething!  I still sleep good but sometimes I whimper in the night. It makes mom sad. I drool a lot and put my mouth on EVERYTHING!  I make out with the oven and my favorite window.

-Talking to the windows I stare out.

-Getting really excited when mom or dad pick me up and we go to a new room. Especially if it's the bath time room! 

-Hitting my head on purpose.  

-Getting a little bit of stranger danger.  Just a little.

-Loving music.  I have started dancing a little bit.  It's called the butt dance.

-Using my play walker to get me everywhere...I love that thing!  If I could walk all day, I would.  I'm happiest when I can go where I want to go.

8 Months!

HUGE MILESTONE LAST MONTH...I STARTED CRAWLING JUST AFTER 7 MONTHS!!!!!!! Defined crawler as of 7/30/15

Oh man am I into everything!  I explore, climb over legs and on top of mommy and daddy, stand up on my own with the help of my trusty furniture and love to find little spots that are my just my size.  Now mom and dad can actually tell what I want because I crawl to whatever I want!  I also get really needy.  When I want my mommy to pick me up, I crawl to her feet and tug at her legs.  It helps if she's wearing pants.  I'm getting pretty good at going where I want to go.  It won't be long until I'm a little walker!

This month I have also started:

-getting really good at using a sippy cup

-annoying mom and dad when they eat (they seriously cannot eat in front of me...it's too big of an ordeal)

-eating a lot more types of variety of foods (more and more of what mom and dad are eating)

-not napping well because I like to stand up in my crib and talk

-saying "dadadadadada" 

-sucking on my bottom lip to make funny noises

-love playing with bottles of creams and lotions

-squealing when I get excited (oh and kicking and bouncing are apart of that excitement)

-chasing my shadow

-making noises like I'm a monster

-laughing when mom and dad start my favorite video of all time (still Sounds the Animals Make on YouTube)

-my ticklish giggles!  I'm most ticklish on the sides of my tummy and under my arm pits.  I squeal when my mom blows under my arms
-loving being thrown in the air and going outside
-making an "o" face (that's what mom and dad call it)

-saying mamamam when I'm tired/sad
-thinking nothing is better than the anticipation of mom coming to get me

-making the SAME face dad makes when he cleans out his ears when mom cleans mine

-making mommy and daddy very happy that I am their son.  I have a lot of personality and it's starting to show!

*Still no teeth! But I gnaw on everything, even toes.
**I went on my first vacation this month with mom and dad.  We went to a family reunion and later in the month, my great grandpas funeral.  They realized I'm an ANGEL in the car!  I either sleep or play.  I love my car seat...even for 5 hour drives! They think I'm a pretty good baby ;)

7 Months!

I'm getting so big!

This month I...

-talk a whole lot more.

-can stand on my own if I have something to hang on to.

-stick my tongue out when I'm concentrating on something.

-love to play with straws more than anything else.

-splash myself so hard in water that I choke.

-smile at monkey noises.

-laugh hysterically at peek-a-boo.  I gave mom a really cute and long baby laugh in the store but she didn't have her camera.

-get mad when people eat in front of me without giving me some.  How rude.

                                          

-weigh almost 16 pounds.

-cry when grandma gets too excited.

-am starting to drop things on purpose to watch them fall.

-am sooooo close to crawling!

-roll to get everywhere.

-favor my aunties.

-love when mommy twirls me around and pretends to drop me and when daddy throws me in the air.

-still love my dog more than mom.

-play with my grandpas lips because they are really big!  I think that's where I got my plump lips...

-still enjoy going on car rides and to the store.

-am starting to bounce all the time.

-still don't have any teeth but I drool like crazy!

-eat more of a variety of foods at dinner time.

-am always on the go!  I have a hard time sitting still.

6 Months!

I'm a half year old! I'll update you on me...

-I am starting to get extremely grabby.  Mom and Dad have to push a lot more things out of my reach.  They learned their lesson after I dumped Dads big jug of water over.

                                                  

-I am officially in my 6 month clothes.

 -I still look just like my dad looked when he was a baby.  The only thing I seem to have of my moms is her lips.

-I still LOVE bath time.  I giggle when I get splashed.

-Now mommy leaves me surrounded by soft surfaces while I sit up and play because I like to reach for things like I am about to crawl...but then I eat the floor with my face.

 -I love to stand!

-Sometimes I spit up so much that mom gives up on clothes.

 -I went swimming for the first time this month!  At first I didn't like it because I'm only used to warm water but as soon as I got my own floaty and the St. George weather turned to 109 degrees, I liked it A LOT more!

 
-My eyes are getting even more crystal blue.  Mommy loves them.

-My favorite things to play with are moms markers.  Good thing I don't know how to take the lid off yet!

 -Mom likes to set me in my crib while I play so she can clean.

 -I always look at my hand like I just got a manicure.  I'm very curious with my own limbs.

-I now have big boy bottles and use a sippy cup for my apple juice.

-I eat anything and everything.  I'm not picky.  Heck, I'll eat napkins!

-I blow bubbles while I'm being changed.

-I'm getting really loud.  Daddy called me his little velociraptor because I make their same noises when I get excited or talk to my toys.

-Sometimes I act like a puppy.

-I love to be scared!  Peek a boo is the best when it catches me off guard.  I don't like the sound of clinging glass though...it makes me cry.

-Unfortunately, last month was the first time I was sick. It really scared mom so she took me to the emergency room but I'm fine now!  Healthy as can be!

-I entertain mom and dad with my cute smiles, giggles and noises all day.  People always tell me how cute I am.  I just look away bashfully.   

 

5 Months!

Boy have I grown!  This month I...
-sit up all on my own (although I'm still learning)

-roll over (not too often though)

-make mmmm noises while I eat

-love rice cereal and bananas
-love being thrown in the air and playing peekaboo (peekaboo really makes me giggle and squeal)
-love looking in the mirror...my reflection makes me smile
-LOVE when people whisper softly in my ear

-have a favorite brown fuzzy blanket that makes me very happy (mommy showers while I lay on it)

-wake mom up from our naps by cuddling with her face

-still love watching "Sounds that the Animals Make" on YouTube
-laugh at balloons and my dog, Sugar (we are best friends)
-am very bashful...if you smile too long at me I hide my face
-am starting to become very curious...I touch and hold everything!  Mom and Dad have to be careful now...

-have been experimenting with my tongue.  I smile with it and click it!

-love touching faces and daddy's hairy legs
I'm getting very big!  I'm now in size 3 diapers and almost 6 month clothes!  I have also jumped to stage 2 solids and am a very good eater.
