The Love Story:
Derek and Christina met in high school and although they never dated each other at that time, they became really good friends right before Derek left to serve his LDS mission in Montana.  They faithfully wrote each other for two years, consistently making the letters way too long. But just as friends.  A short time before Derek was to come home, Christina became single.  Apparently, this sparked the thought in Derek that he might have feelings ("stirrings if you will") for Christina so his next letter to her was packed with confessions and questions about if she felt the same way...she did!  Soon, the pen pals/best of friends' letters turned into love letters and butterflies accumulated as it drew closer and closer for Derek's arrival back to St. George.  Derek didn't waste any time.  He asked her to be his girlfriend the third day he was home and soon after he asked her father if he could have his daughter.  He proposed to Christina at her favorite place...Disneyland and they were married later that year in the St. George Temple for time and all eternity.
The Happily Ever After Story:
Derek and Christina wanted to wait 4-5 years to have children but plans changed when one day, all of the sudden, babies started looking cuter!  They decided after a year of marriage that it was time to start trying.  They figured it would take a while so they would have plenty of time to mentally prepare...and the next month a pregnancy test told them otherwise!  They would have a boy in December and name him Blake! They love him very much and are now starting their adventure as a family of 3.  Derek has decided he wants a career where he is helping make the world a better place so they have begun their journey as a family of 3 going through medical school!  Let the adventures continue!
